This tools helps people open doors and push elevator buttons in public without using their hands. This is important, especially during the covid-19 pandemic, as a means to reduce germs being spread through cross contamination.

The sanitary door opener was made to be worn around the wrist to help people open doors in a hands-free way. It consists of three parts: the hook, which should fit door handles up to 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. The wristband is about 17 cm in circumference, but can be scaled to fit before printing in Cura. The fastener hooks onto the inside of the wristband. For printing, the orientation shown in the video will maximize durability and minimize the amount of support needed. It can be printed in a relatively short time: ~ 1 hr 47 mins.
