My project aimed to utilize computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D-printing softwares to produce an efficient and versatile bookholder. This bookholder has multiple unique features, including a clamping function, a threading feature for height-adjustability, and a rotatable surface.

Project Panel

A visual of the bookholder and its three components. Sketches and features in SOLIDWORKS used for the bookholder. 3D printing components of the bookholder are also included in the project panel, incluidng the print time, amount of filament used, and layer thickness according to Cura.

Project Video

A two-minute video on the key characteristics of the bookholder, including a short presentation on the project panel. Visual demonstrations of the height-adjustability feature from the threads and the rotatable surface in SOLIDWORKS are also included in the project video. In addition, 3D printing orientation of the parts and the generated supports are also noted in Cura.
